Our Story
We met at a friend's engagement party in Nairobi, the kind where the music never stops and someone always ropes you into a dance circle you didn't sign up for. Kamau was terrible at it; Wanjiru wouldn't let him leave until he'd at least tried the whole song. That night turned into a running joke that turned into actual dates, then into Sunday lunches with both our families, then into Kamau finally learning the dance (mostly). He proposed at a friend's wedding — mid-toast, borrowed microphone and all — because apparently he'd learned nothing about waiting for the right moment. We wanted our own wedding to feel exactly like the night we met: warm, loud, full of the people we love, and at least one dance nobody saw coming. Thank you for being part of it.
